- John Vaselenak was born on 3 March, 1888 in Austria and came to Lethbridge in 1919. He married Catherine Negrey and had three sons: Jerome Martin, Francise Adrian and John Robert. He was lawyer from 1919 until 1979 at the time of his passing. On 5 March, 1924, he was initiated into the Elks Club. He was exalted ruler for Lethbridge from 1928-1929; Provincial President from 1935-1936; and Past Grand Exalted Ruler for Canada from 1938-1939. He was also a life member since 1965. He died on 17 April, 1979.
