- History Biographical
- James Shimbashi apprenticed as a cook under Mr. Hironaka, before working as the cook at E. P. Ranch. Mr. Hironaka cooked at the Dallas Hotel then opened a restaurant in Raymond which he sold to James Shimbashi in 1915.
