- History Biographical
- The Alberta Railway and Irrigation Company Building was located on 7th Street South between 1st and 2nd Avenues. It was built in 1890 by the Lethbridge Building Company headed by Dr. Frank Mewburn. The building was taken over by the A. R. & I Company a few years later and their offices were located on the first floor. The upper floor was rented out as suites. In 1912 the Canadian Pacific Railway (C.P.R.) took over all of the Alberta Railway and Irrigation Company Holdings. The building was demolished in the late 1960's.
