History Biographical
The donor's father was one of the radio range operators at Kenyon Field. Radio range operators commuicated with aircraft using the airport, and also were involved with meteorological observations. Source: Donor. The first Trans Canada Airlines aircraft to land at Lethbridge was a Lockheed 10A, registration CF-TCB, en route to Winnipeg. The pilot was W.A. Straith. He was accompanied by two other pilots, M.B. Barclay and Z.L. Leigh. Source: Wings Over Lethbridge, by Bruce W. Gowans (Lethbridge Historical Society, 1986).
