- Japanese. Photo is of the donor's mother. She was born March 22, 1894 in Japan. The marriage between her and Yoichi was arranged by their families. She came to Canada as a picture bride, meet her husband for the first time on April 9, 1913 in Vancouver, and they were married the next day.
