Custodial History
The prisoner of war postcards were given to Mr. Jack Eklund, the donor's father, by German prisoners of war (POWs) during World War 2. Mr. Eklund was the foreman on the Bennett Farm just outside Coaldale, Alberta, and lived there with his family. The farm employed German POWs on parole from Camp 133, and they repaid the kindness shown them by the Eklund family with gifts of the postcards and an album.
