- History Biographical
- Legacy Ridge includes an area bounded on the south by 26 Avenue North, on the north by 44 Avenue North, on the east by North Scenic Drive and on the west by the coulees. Development of a new residential subdivision within the Legacy Ridge are began in 2004, and continues at the time of this writing. Within the new residential subdivision, all streets and named places bear the names of Lethbridge and southern Alberta women of historical interest. The decision by the City of Lethbridge to honour women in the new subdivision came as the result of a proposal by the Centennial Committee for the Recognition of Women. Formed to investigate ways to honour local women of historical interest as Lethbridge approached the 100th anniversary of it incorporation as a city in 2006, the Committee adopted the idea of naming streets and places in the new Legacy Ridge development after women.
