- History Biographical
- The grain cars were the first purchased by the Government of Alberta to augment the Government of Canada's rolling stock as part of the grain transportation system. The Calgary advertising firm of Baker Lobick had a contract with the provincial government to publicize the cars. Bob Ranson worked for Baker Lobick and hired his brother Denny Ranson, a professional photographer, to take the photograph. Denny Ranson is a friend of the donor, and gave him this image as a gift.
