- History Biographical
- The Irrigation Memorial, as it is commonly known, was officially unveiled on 24 November 1963. The memorial was made possible by the work of a committee composed of the following members: D.G. (Doug) Oland, J.H. (Jack) Oland, E. (Beth) Fairfield, D.G.W. (Doug) Sutherland, R.A. (Ralph) Thrall Sr., C.R. (Don) Daniel, G.L. (Gordon) Black, R.C. (Reed) Ellison and Alderman Cecil Westcott. Many local individuals, families and businesses donated money or materials to the Irrigation Memorial project. The memorial is located on 4 Avenue at 10 Street South, near Lethbridge City Hall.
