- History Biographical
- Albertan. Yoichi was born in Japan in 1884 and immigrated to Canada in 1907. He was employed for the Canadian Pacific Railway in the Fernie, British Columbia area for about 2 years, and from 1909 -1913, he was employed by the Hotel Dallas in Lethbridge. In 1913 he and his new wife moved to Raymond and opened a restaurant. The following year they purchased 40 areas west of Raymond. In 1915 they sold their restaurant, bought more land and concentrated on farming. They still live in Raymond. For further history on the Hironaka family see P19790275001-GP.
