- History Biographical
- Richard T. Urch built the house in 1886 as a hotel, tavern, eating place and post office. In addition to the stop over. He ranched and operated a ferry service. Mr Urch died in 1924 and his widow remained on the ranch until her death in 1944. The house has been empty since about 1960.
- In 1984 the Lethbridge Herald donated to the Archives, their negatives dating from 1965 to 1983. The original collection is catalogued chronologically, but a few of the duplicates have been catalogued into the Archives' regular photograph collection. These images are from the 1984 Lethbridge Herald Collection.
