- Around the turn of the century paintings such as this were used in real estate brochures to promote cities and attract settlers. This painting hung in the Arlington Hotel for a number of years before being donated to the University of Lethbridge Archives. Copy 3 was taken from a real estate brochure dated 1912 (Buchanan Collection in Public Library).
