- Side A - George was born 25 Feb 1903. Moved to Lethbridge in July 1927 and obtained employment haying on a ranch. - He started at the Shaughnessy mine when it opened in 1929. Talks about the jobs he had in the mines and his wages. - Talks about how the coal was mined and how many tons per day each man mined. - He was employed by the Shaughnessy mine for 33 years. - He worked for a short time in the Michelle/Natal mine. Discusses mining techniques in that mine. Wages were not as good so he returned to Shaughnessy. - Talks about using dynamite in the mines. SideB - continues with general inforamtion about mining. - Talks about wages.
