Homesteaded in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. 016 - 094 Louis Gonzy, Sr. (Emma's father) born 1889, homesteaded when he was 15. Worked as CPR fireman, farm labourer and at #3 mine. 095 - 144 Family history. Maternal grandparents and mother. Mother, Elizabeth Sarko, born 1894. Emigrated 1904. Educated at St. Aloyuis Convent. Worked at Gait Hospital 1 year. 151 - 172 Mr. Sarko bought mine at Picture Butte (1931). 174 - 195 Louis, caretaker of Miner's Library, family lived in quarters. Retired in 1983. Roles of Family Services. 372 - 414 Hobbies - oil painting, ceramics, dressmaking and crocheting. 427 - 470 Staffordville - village built #3 mine, orders west of Stafford Drive and north of 9th Street. Established in 1900, annexed by Lethbridge 1913. Waterworks 1912 (wooden pipes). 1950 - bus service, cement sidewalks, sewerlines.
