- History Biographical
- Members of the Lethbridge Historical Society founded the Civic Museum in two rooms in the Bowman Arts Centre in 1964. In 1965, the museum was renamed the Sir Alexander Galt Museum, and re-located to the former Galt Hospital building. The Lethbridge Historical Society retained control of the museum until 1971, when they requested the City of Lethbridge to take over operation of the facility and responsibility for the collections.
