- Florence Miller graduated from Winnipeg General Hospital's School of Nursing on 9 October 1894. She stayed at the hospital as a surgical nurse until 1896 when she took a position as an operating room nurse at the Galt Hospital.
- From 1898-1899, Florence Miller worked at the Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, British Columbia. In 1899 Miss Miller returned to Lethbridge and married Charles Broughton Bowman. They had one son, Ronald Fraser Patrick, who died in 1990.
