- David Hughes began working as an accountant at Western Canadian Seed Processors (later known as Canbra Foods) in 1960. He later became Comptroller, Vice President-Finance and President and CEO until 1987. He left Canbra Foods in 1988 to form his own company, DW Hughes Management.
