- History Biographical
- Williams, Richard E. born in England, he was a school teacher before emigrating to Canada. Settled on a ranch about 25 kms north of Lundbreck, on the Longview Road. Williams' cabin was situated at a ford of the Oldman River, a spot known locally as Dick's Crossing. Williams remained unmarried and had no other known family in Canada. Williams was a sheep rancher, and also operated a small coal mine on his land. Some of the coal he sold to neighbouring ranchers from as far as 10 miles away. Information supplied by James W. Jordan based on oral accounts.
