- Comment from the donor. "Orders were no cameras. 113 Lethbridge Highlanders entraining at Calgary, September 18, 1916. Sailed from Halifax embarked on the transport Tuscania, 13 days at sea on the great circle across the Atlantic, arrived at Liverpool, England. Training camp near Gilford in Kent. Arrived in le Harve Camp at Etaples, November 13th, 1916. 300 assigned to 16th Canadian Scottish November 12, 1916. They were below strength after the Somme. Joined the 16th at Camblain l'abbe".
