- History Biographical
- The caption on the photo read "Emery le Grande", but the Pincher Creek history book, "Prairie Grass To Mountain Pass: history of the pioneers of Pincher Creek and District" (page 88), shows the spelling la Grandeur. Emery la Grandeur was born in Pincher Creek and died in Hussar, Alberta at the age of 51. He won $1000 and a gold medal for this competition.
