- Lucy Hatch McInnis was born in Big Timber, Montana on 2 March 1890. The family moved to Paonia where she graduated from High School in 1909, and then to Lethbridge in 1910. Lucy began her nurses training at the Galt School of Nursing on the 10 July 1910. Following her graduation in 1913 she spent 8 years on the Galt Hospital Staff, went to New York for one year, then returned to the Galt Hospital in 1921, She took charge of the Coalhurst Hospital and remained there until her marriage to James Daniel McInnis on 8 March 1922. On 8 August, Lucy again joined the Galt Hospital staff as Floor Supervisor. She nursed as a "special nurse at the Galt and St. Michael's Hospitals whenever she was called upon. Her health began to fail in 1953 and she died 22 February,1955 in the Galt Hospital.
