- History Biographical
- Albertan - Local. The buffalo, purchased from the Banff herd in July 1935, were used as a curiosity gimmack in Lethbridge's 1936 Jubilee Celebrations. At the end of the celebrations, the animals were slaughtered and the meat was sold to the T. Eaton Company. The heads were mounted and raffled off. The winner, Tom Niven, hung them in his meat market until it was demolished. They were located in the Pemmican Club but as of the present their whereabouts are unknown. See attached for further Information.
