- David Kaupp was born in Calgary. He moved to Lethbridge at age 17, and lived here for seven or eight years. He always liked to run as a child, and began distance running at age 13. Mr. Kaupp belonged to the Lethbridge Track and Field Club, where Rod Constable was his coach. Mr. Kaupp stopped running in competition in the early 1990s.
