- History Biographical
- Mr. Scarlett was a member of the 20th Battery Royal Canadian Artillery (RCA) during World War 2. What follows are Mr. Scarlett's words. "Picture taken in Carpenter Shop in RCAF Station Winnipeg. I enlisted in 1951 July in the Air Force as an Aircraft Electrician, spent four years in Germany - 1953 to 1957 - returning to Winnipeg and not being posted out so stayed here until retiring in 1867. I had my own Carpenter Shop to do the repair work for the messes but was E. Tech. (Air) when on duty. After having six years in the Active Army it wasn't hard to out smart the Air Force Types, but we did enjoy the work and experience of my sixteen years with the RCAF"
