Notes
Captain Ernest C. Hoy was the first pilot to successfully cross the Canadian rocky mountains by air, 7 August 1919. A ceremony was held in Lethbridge, 7 August 1966, to unveil a plaque commemorating the feat. See newspaper clipping file "transportation" for additional information.
