- History Biographical
- Lethbridge Medical Society (1917-?) The Society was formed at a meeting of city physicians 23 April 1917. First president was A.M. Lafferty, first secretary E.L. Connor. The society dealt with issues of interest to the local medical establishment: insurance, fees, public health legislation, etc. On 11 November 1933 a committee of the society recommended that the Galt Hospital Medical Staff, Lethbridge Medical Society, and St. Michael's Hospital Medical Staff join to form the Lethbridge and District Medical Association. The first meeting of the new organization was held 2 February 1934. The mandate of the new association was not substantially different from that of the old society
