- .31) The Lethbridge Nursing Mission was founded in 1908 through the efforts of Mrs Jessie T.Robinson (nee Turnbull). The first executive consisted of Mrs J. T. Robinson, Mrs Perry, Mrs Matilda S. Galbraith, Mrs W. Ingram, Mrs Morgan, Mrs I.M. Johnstone, Mrs Simmons. The nursing mission was first established to bring a public health nurse into the district. In time, the mission took over much of the poor relief work done in Lethbridge. In 1953 the nursing mission became the welfare mission, and by the late 1950s was superseded by the victorian order of nurses.
