- The donor obtained these from an aunt, who was a former resident of Lethbridge. Wartime prices and trade board, 1939-1951, was established in to provide safeguards against unfair price increases in food, fuel, and other necessities of life. The board also had the responsibility to ensure the adequate supply and distribution of these goods during wartime and the authority to investigate costs, prices, and profits. It continued in existance until 1951, and reported to parliament through the minister of finance.
