History Biographical: The Lethbridge Travellers' Aid Society was organized in December 1910 by the local WCTU (Women's Christian Temperance Union) to provide assistance to travellers arriving in Lethbridge. They provided temporary accommodations, assisted women travelling alone or with children, located lost relatives or friends, supplied information about Lethbridge and area, feed the hungry, etc. In January 1957 the Lethbridge Travellers' Aid Society amalagamated with the local branch of the Young Women's Christian Association (Y.W.C.A.)
