- These photographs were transferred from the City of Lethbridge Records Centre to the Archives. The photographs were collected from inside the Lethbridge Fire Department and from private contributors, to be used in the book, Lethbridge: A Century of Fire Fighting, by Ted Bochan and Alex Johnston (Lethbridge, 1986). No provenance is available for the privately contributed photographs.

- Notes
- The Lethbridge Arena burned to the ground about 90 minutes after the fire started. Approximately 1,800 fans watching a Lethbridge Sugar Kings vs. Edmonton Maple Leafs hockey games all escaped without serious injuries. Damage as a result of the fire was $477,458.
