- History Biographical
- McDonald, Keith (1921-1995) Mr. McDonald was born at Swift Current, Saskatchewan in 1921. His family moved to Lethbridge soon after his birth, and Mr. McDonald attended St. Basil's Elementary School until grade 5. His family moved to Taber and Mr. McDonald attended school there. Mr. McDonald went to high school in Ottawa for two years and played hockey for the St. Pat's College Juniors. He was invited to the tryout camp of the Detroit Red Wings hockey team held at Saskatoon. Mr. McDonald attended the camp, but decided to return to Taber where he worked in the family business, McDonald Chev. Olds Car Dealership for 45 years. Mr. McDonald also played for the Taber Chiefs and Lethbridge Native Sons hockey teams. Mr. McDonald died on November 13, 1995. (information supplied by Kenneth McDonald’s son).
