- Dr. Holberton was a member of the 39th Battery R.C.A. During World War 2, and of the 39th Field Battery RCA. (WW2) Association formed of veterans of the unit after the war. The association held its last formal reunion in 1997. September 1966 was the 25th Anniversary of the mobilization of the 39th Field Battery RCA in 1941.
