History Biographical

Al Candy (1911 – 2001) was born in Salisbury, Wiltshire England before coming to Canada in 1914. Candy would attend the University of Calgary for an education degree and return to Lethbridge to teach. Candy would also enlist in the Royal Canadian Artillery between 1943 and 1946. Candy was also involved in the local theatre scene, being a theatre stage design specialist as well as being a Lethbridge history enthusiast.
