History Biographical

William “Bill” Lingard (1949–2024) and Juanita (nee Zasasdny) Lingard were Lethbridge natives who grew up in the city and attended Lethbridge Collegiate Institute, with Juanita graduating in 1955 and Bill in 1956. Bill worked as a Speech and Hearing Therapist with Lethbridge School Division No. 51 and was active in local heritage organizations, including the Lethbridge Historical Society, where he was credited in several publications, and the Galt Museum Advisory Board. Juanita became a registered nurse after high school and remained involved in the Lethbridge community through activities such as local league bowling and participation in the Lethbridge Artists Club.
