20261046004-001 V.J. Harney Chinook Club Cartoon depicting a card game with Chinook Club members (Left to Right) A.B. Hogg, W.A.R. Cocq, Joe Sutton, Davie Donald, Jimmy Haimes Andrew Brydon Hogg was a lawyer based in Lethbridge. Starting his career in 1910, Hogg would have a successful law career having served as Crown Prosector during the 1930s and 1940s. Hogg was also a member of the Chinook Club. William Adolphus Roosmale (W.A.R.) Cocq was a member of the Chinook Club and worked for the Lethbridge Herald where he served as editor. He was also active in community organizations such as Rotary, Chinook Club, and the Imperial Order Daughters (IODE) Joseph “Joe” Sutton worked for the Lethbridge Northern Irrigation District as Colonization Manager. Sutton was an active member of the Chinook Club. Davie Donald is believed to have served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. The Lethbridge Herald indicates that an individual of this name was listed as Missing in Action and presumed dead. Jimmy “James” Haimes was a Lethbridge city engineer who contributed to street, waterworks, sewer, and electrical infrastructure projects. Haimes was also a member of the Chinook Club.
