History Biographical

Roy Davidson worked in Lethbridge at his family’s law firm, Davidson & Williams, and later taught law in the Criminal Justice Program at Lethbridge Polytechnic. After relocating to Pincher Creek, he opened his own practice and remained active in the community through roles in the school board, Chamber of Commerce, economic development, Rotary, and Search and Rescue. His grandfather (1884 – 1969) Richard Roy “R.R.” Davidson was a teacher, vice principal, school board trustee, lawyer, and president of the Lethbridge Conservative Association, also serving as Minister of the Interior in Lethbridge’s Parliament. His father (1915 – 1986), William P. Davidson, was a lawyer and prominent community leader, holding roles in the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Community Chest, and the Southern Alberta Advisory Board. He also served in the Navy from 1943 to 1945 and was a director of the Lethbridge Bar Association.

Donated by Roy Davidson. The scrapbook was compiled by an unknown individual and contains original newspaper clippings relating to the Davidson family.
