History Biographical

Margaret Bianchini (born Lengyel), born circa 1933, spent her early years in Bow Island, where she began playing the violin and quickly excelled, earning numerous local and national honors. She came from a musically inclined family with her younger sister, Irene Lengyel, also being an accomplished pianist. Margaret later moved within Alberta, teaching in Red Deer before returning to Lethbridge, where she married her first husband, Joseph Antonio Paul Desrochers, in 1955. The marriage later ended, after which she relocated to Calgary. In 1977, she met her future husband, Robert Bianchini, and in 1979 they moved to Kelowna, where she has lived since.
