History Biographical

Arthur E. M. Dawson (1912-1987) was born in Fort Macleod before his family moved to Lethbridge. Grandfather was a CPR engineer. Dawson would work at the Lethbridge Brewery until 1941, when he would join the Royal Canadian Air Force, serving overseas until 1945. Following the war, Arthur was employed with Canada Customs. Dawson was active among numerous organizations around Lethbridge, such as the Free Masons, the Independent Order of Oddfellows, Scottish Rite, Southminster United Church, and the Lethbridge Camera Club. The photographs are predominantly from the 1930s and 1940s.
