History Biographical

This collection, donated by Laureen Tetzloff on behalf of the Lethbridge Reveller’s, consists of meeting minutes, various menus, survey’s, financial documents and membership lists which showcase this club’s month to month activities. Before becoming the Revellers, this club began as a social club at the Lethbridge Legion for their senior members. Eventually, invites to participate in club activities were extended to those who were outside of the legion. There were two groups. One group liked to dance to a live band- not a DJ. The other group liked to play cards, mostly Cribbage or Whist. Meetings were initially held in the Memorial hall at the Legion and had over 400 members in the 1990’s. However, as the group got smaller changes had to be made. With a lack of couples, the club could no longer afford to hire a live band, and eventually the group moved from the Legion to a room at the Sandman in the early 2000’s, and from there to a venue beneath the Keg, where the Country Kitchen Caterer’s were located. The Reveller’s were an active club, continuing to play games and have dinners once a month. However, around 2022-2023, club activities grinded to a halt, with some citing the stepping down of the President, Ernie Resler, as the official end of the club.
