- BLACK VELVET BOY'S DRESS JACKET WITH 7 LARGE ROUND SILVER STONED BUTTONS, THAT ALMOST LOOK LIKE RHINESTONES. JACKET DOES NOT FASTEN, BUT HAS A V-SHAPED DIP IN THE FRONT. LABEL ON THE BACK OF THE NECK MARKED "S & W LONDON". JACKET IS LINE WITH WHITE SILK, AND IS VERY WELL MADE. ITEM IS STILL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, WITH LITTLE DAMAGE. SMALL STAINS ON LINING.

DONOR'S GRANDFATHER WAS GEORGE HERBERT WATSON WHO CAME FROM SCARBOUROUGH, ENGLAND IN THE 1890'S, AND FIRST SETTLED IN LETHBRIDGE REGION. FAMILY MOVED TO KELOWNA, BC IN 1919 & OPERATED WATSON ORCHARD LTD. TO 1980. G.H. WATSON WAS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BUDD REED IN A DAIRY IN LETHBRIDGE.
