- IRON BASE WITH HOLLOW TUBULAR SHANK. GEARED WHEEL MOUNTED ON THE SIDE, WITH SHORT ARM FOR HOLDING CRANK HANDLE. ENGRAVED WITH "SJ 675 A". ARM HAS HINGED TAB WHICH LOCKS INTO GEAR FOR TURNING WHEEL. LARGE THREADED BOLT FITS INTO SHANK, AND CAN BE ADJUSTED BY PULLING UPWARD. SECOND THREADED GEARED WHEEL ACTS AS NUT, AND SECURES BOLT AT SET HEIGHT. TOP OF BOLT HAS SQUARE WAFFLED PLATFORM WITH ROUND HOLE HOLLOWED IN CENTRE. HINGED CUBE-SHAPED LID FITS OVER TOP. SHANK ENGRAVED WITH "MADE IN CANADA NO 16". "S J 601" ENGRAVED ON TOP OF NUT WHEEL. REMNANTS OF GREEN PAINT ON SOME SURFACES; HEAVILY CORRODED THROUGHOUT.
