- COLLECTED BY DONOR AS PROPRIETER OF MCCREADY-BAINES DRUG STORE. PURCHASED BUSINESS FROM FATHER IN 1963 WITH PARTNER BAINES. BUSINESS ESTABLISHED IN 1909 AT 614 3 AVE SOUTH IN ACADIA BLOCK. MOVED TO SHERLOCK BLOCK AFTER FIRE IN 1918. MOVED BACK TO ACADIA BLOCK IN 1952. DONOR JOINED BUSINESS AFTER W.W.II OPERATING A SUCCESSFUL CAMERA DEPT. UNTIL 1970 WHEN DONOR SOLD TO BAINES. THE DONOR BEGAN DISPLAYING TRADE-IN CAMERAS FOR WHOOP-UP DAYS IN STORE WINDOW. SOON PEOPLE WERE BRINGING CAMERAS TO ADD TO THE DISPLAY. THIS COLLECTION IS COMPRISED OF THOSE CAMERAS. THE PHARMACY CLOSED IN 1981.
