STEEL HANDLED PLOW, 14" SHARE, "FROGLESS CONSTRUCTION". PAINTED GREEN WITH SILVER PAINTED BLADE. HANDLES ARE BLACK. "JOHN DEERE 159" STAMPED ON TOP OF PLOW BEAM. CORROSION ON BASE OF PLOW BLADE.

MANUFACTERED BY JOHN DEERE, FROGLESS CONSTRUCTION SUGGESTS A PRE-1910 DATE. TYPICAL OF PLOWS SOLD TO SETTLERS TO BREAK THE SOD OF THE PRAIRIES AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY. DONOR ACQUIRED IN 1938, USED & UTILIZED PLOW UNTIL 1950 ON FARMS AT PICTURE BUTTE & IRON SPRINGS. DONOR PAINTED & RESTORED TO PRESENT CONDITION IN EARLY 1980'S.
