History
*UPDATE* IN 2018, COLLECTIONS ASSISTANT ELISE PUNDYK CONDUCTED AN ARTIFACT SURVEY, WHICH INCLUDED THE BOOTS DONATED BY JOHN DARE IN 1967. RESEARCH CONDUCTED INTO FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE DONOR WAS LARGELY UNSUCCESSFUL. ONE SOURCE WAS FOUND THROUGH THE LETHBRIDGE HERALD DIGITAL ARCHIVES WHICH PICTURES A JOHN DARE AT A MEETING OF THE LETHBRIDGE BRANCH OF THE AMALGAMATED CIVIL SERVANTS ASSOCIATIONS. THE CAPTION READS THAT HE WAS AMONG THOSE PRESENTED WITH A PAST PRESIDENTS' PIN AT THE MEETING (LETHBRIDGE HERALD, 18 JANUARY 1956).
