Description
TENNIS RACKET IS MADE ENTIRELY OUT OF WOOD. THE HANDLE IS THICK, WITH LEATHER WRAPPED AROUND THE BASE. RIGHT BENEATH THE SURFACE OF THE RACKET, THERE IS WRITTEN "WRIGHT & DITSON BOSTON MASS. U.S.A.". THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF THE RACKET IS MADE OF LIGHT COLORED WOOD, WHILE A SMALL PIECE (WITH THE WRITING ON IT) IS MADAE OF MUCH DARKER, REDDISH WOOD. THE WRITING IS IN GOLD.

BELONGED TO SICKS BREWERY MANAGER AL NEILS. NEILS WAS BORN AND SCHOOLED IN MINNESOTA, AND MOVED TO WARNER IN 1927. AFTER WORKING IN THE HOTEL INDUSTRY, HE WAS EMPLOYED WITH THE SICK’S BREWERY CONGLOMERATE IN 1933 IN GREAT FALLS, MONTANA. NEILS TOOK OVER MANAGEMENT OF THE LETHBRIDGE BREWERY FROM GORDON A. FRISBY IN 1947 AND STAYED UNTIL 1965 WHEN JACK LAKIE ASSUMED MANAGEMENT DUTIES.
