S/N 342. 6 SHOT CYLINDER. .38 CAL., PATENT DATES AUG. 5, 1884, JUNE 5, 1900, JULY 4,1905 (ON BARREL). DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER WITH "COLT NEW POLICE 38" AND "COLT PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT., U.S.A." AND PATENT DATED STAMPED ON BARREL. "COLT'S NEW POLICE" AND REARING HORSE STAMPED ON LEFT SIDE OF FRAME. 5 NOTCHES AND NUMEROUS SMALLER NOTCHES FILED INTO TOP RIGHT EDGE OF FRAME. BLUEING WORN ON BARREL, PROBABLY FROM A HOLSTER. CORNER OF RIGHT GRIP MISSING, BOTH GRIPS EMBOSSED "COLT". ALL PARTS APPEAR ORIGINAL.
