REFER TO P19738806000-GA FOR HISTORY. *UPDATE* IN 2018, COLLECTIONS ASSISTANT ELISE PUNDYK CONDUCTED AN ARTIFACT SURVEY, WHICH INCLUDED AN ASHTRAY DONATED TO THE MUSEUM BY ELINOR GLOVER. AS PART OF THE SURVEY PROCESS, PUNDYK CONTACTED GLOVER’S DAUGHTER DIANE GLOVER. NO ITEM SPECIFIC INFORMATION COULD BE ADDED TO THE ARTIFACT FILES. FURTHER ARCHIVAL RESEARCH WAS CONDUCTED REGARDING THE DONOR’S FAMILY, INCLUDING HER FATHER WILLIAM PALFREY, WHOSE NAME IS MENTIONED IN RELATION TO THE ARTIFACTS IN THE INITIAL RECORDS. PALFREY’S OBITUARY WAS PUBLISHED IN THE LETHBRIDGE HERALD ON JULY 3, 1973. IT REITERATED MOST OF THE INFORMATION LISTED IN THE INITIAL HISTORY AS RECORDED IN P19738806000, ADDING THAT HE WAS MARRIED TO ANNIE PALFREY. TOGETHER THEY HAD ONE DAUGHTER, ELINOR GLOVER (THE DONOR). HE PASSED AWAY IN EDMONTON AT THE AGE OF 81 YEARS. HIS HEADSTONE IN LETHBRIDGE’S MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY LISTS HIS YEAR OF BIRTH AS 1891. THE DONOR’S OBITUARY WAS FOUND PUBLISHED ONLINE IN THE EDMONTON JOURNAL. IT RECORDS THAT ELINOR KAY GLOVER (NEE PALFREY) WAS BORN ON OCTOBER 7, 1934. SHE MARRIED KENNETH GLOVER IN LETHBRIDGE IN AUGUST 1959, ACCORDING TO A LETHBRIDGE HERALD ARTICLE PUBLISHED ON AUGUST 18, 1959. THE COUPLE HAD THREE CHILDREN: BRIAN, DIANE, AND KAREN. PLEASE SEE PERMANENT FILE P19738813000 FOR MORE INFORMATION, INCLUDING LETHBRIDGE HERALD CLIPPINGS.
