WOODEN VARNISHED PLAQUE MOUNTED WITH 54 RECTANGULAR BRASS NAME PLATES AND ONE LARGER RECTANGULAR PLATE AT TOP ENGRAVED "NORBRIDGE LIONS CLUB PRESENTED BY LION W. BISSONNETTE APRIL '63 PRESIDENTS HONOUR ROLL". NAMES AND YEARS ENGRAVED ON MOST OF THE SMALLER PLATES, EXCEPT BOTTOM TWO ROWS, WHICH ARE BLANK. SOME PLATES ARE RIVETED; SOME SCREWED. TOP BACK OF PLAQUE HAS TWO METAL RINGS FOR HANGING. BACK NOT FINISHED.

THE NAKAYAMA FAMILY WERE ORIGINALLY FROM VANCOUVER BUT MOVED TO COALDALE FOLLOWING THE SECOND WORLD WAR WHEN THEY WERE RELOCATED TO SLOCAN CITY(1942) BY THE CANADIAN GOV'T. DONOR'S FATHER, REV. G.G. NAKAYAMA, WAS AN ANGLICAN MINISTER IN VANCOUVER, AND THEN ESTABLISHED THE CHURCH OF THE ASCENSION IN COALDALE IN 1945 WHERE HE SERVED UNTIL 1970. A RECTANGULAR PIECE OF BURGUNDY CLOTH, TRIMMED WITH BEIGE AND BURGUNDY TASSELS ON THREE SIDES. HANGING FROM EACH OF THE TWO BOTTOM CORNERS IS A BALL OF TASSELS, HANGING FROM A SHORT BEIGE AND BURGUNDY ROPE. PAINTED ONTO BOTH SIDES OF BANNER IS A FAMILY CREST. THE CREST CONSISTS OF AN EAGLE, WITH WINGS OUTSPREAD, SITTING ON A CROWN SHAPE, MADE OF BRICKS. BELOW THIS IS A CASCADE OF WHITE AND BURGUNDY FEATHERS, WITH TASSELS ON EACH END. BELOW THE FEATHERS IS A SHIELD SHAPE, WITHIN WHICH IS AN EAGLE, WITH WINGS OUTSPREAD AND TALONS SHOWING, IS OVER A RED, BRICK AQUADUCT STRUCTURE. THE STRUCTURE'S BASE IS IN A BODY OF WATER. BELOW THE SHIELD IS A WHITE AND BLUE BANNER THAT READS "SPES.MEA.IN.DEO". AT EACH OF THE TOP CORNERS OF THE BANNER ARE TWO DOVE-TAILED BURGUNDY-RED RIBBONS. THERE ARE ALSO TWO IN THE CENTRE TOP, BUT HAV EBEEN TORN SO THEY ARE SHORT AND FRAYED.
