DONOR STATES: "THIS IS THE MOLD THAT KOOTENAI BROWN MADE ALL HIS BULLETS WITH IN THE LATTER 1800'S AND EARLY 1900'S." **** ON 6 NOVEMBER 2012, THE GALT WAS CONTACTED BY A EDI-MAY SMITHIES OF VANCOUVER, B.C.. HER INTEREST WAS IN LOCATING A BULLET MOLD DONATED BY A FAMILY FRIEND, DELANCE STRATE. STRATE WAS FRIENDS WITH HER PATERNAL FAMILY OF WATERTON, THE ANNAND FAMILY, DATING BACK AS FAR AS THE 1920S. THE GRANDSON OF DELANCE STRATE, TOM DAVIDSON, TOLD SMITHIES THAT THE MOLD WAS GIVEN TO HIS GRANDFATHER BY “KOOTENAI” BROWN AND THAT HE BELIEVED HIS GRANDFATHER DONATED IT TO THE GALT MUSEUM. THE MOLD WAS FOUND IN THE COLLECTION, DONATED BY STRATE IN 1969, AND THE REQUEST FOR SERVICE FULFILLED.
