The Lethbridge Travellers' Aid Society was formed in 1910 by the local branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union to provide assistance to travelers arriving in Lethbridge. They provided temporary accommodation, assisted women traveling alone or with children, located lost relatives or friends, fed the hungry, and provided information about Lethbridge and area. In 1957, the Society amalgamated with the local branch of the YWCA.
